Superb conditions 25knots solid F5-6 from the northwest and a reasonable size surf for my ability ;-)

Went out with the 5.3m which felt purfect and went straight out through the break to the outside. First time I'd done that without any problems. Didn't have to think about negotiating the waves so just concentrated on picking a course out. Went for a play out back and came back inside after a few runs. Then I noticed that the bottom of the sail had gone and had to come in to check it out. Turned out the bottom 2 battens had punctured the mast sleeve so I was forced to change up!

OK, so 6.4m or nothing. Sat around watching for a while hoping it would drop off a bit as I was reading F5-7. In the end I just went out with the 6.4 anyway and had some fun way overpowered but at least I was always going upwind.

Some very wast runs on the way back in.

Need to practise my gybing more so I can stay out in the surf longer before getting tired. I think some flat water sessions will be required.

A shortened session cause of the breakage but 4 stars anyway.
